Clinical Team
Pukeko Blue Limited is proud to employee a highly skilled and dedicated team of registered nurses across mental health and intellectual disability services. Every house within Pukeko Blue Ltd is visited daily by one of our clinical team as well as having a registered nurse available on-call 24 hours a day 7 days a week. By employing our own clinical team, people in our care can build trusted relationships and rest easy knowing they are in good hands.
In-House Support Team
Pukeko Blue Ltd employ over 180 people, most of who work hands on in each of our 22 houses. Each house has a Support Lead who is either an Enrolled Nurse or has completed or working towards Level 4 in Mental Health. Working alongside them is a skilled team of support workers covering 24 hour a day care. Pukeko Blue Ltd has a proud reputation in delivering consistently high standards for the people in our care. We operate an environment of respect, dignity, compassion, safety and skill and we are proud of our Support Workers who enrich the lives of the people in our care.
Training Support
Support Workers are expected to train to mental health certificate standard and then attain a diploma of mental health, utilising Careerforce to gain unit standards fully supported by Pukeko Blue Ltd.
Ara Institute Bachelor of Nursing students are on placement overseen by our Registered Nurses, who are on the road daily visiting Service Users. Many of our staff have completed Enrolled Nurse training and Bachelor of Nursing training while working part time with us.
In-house training is three monthly for three hours. Pukeko Blue Ltd utilise the Mental Health Education & Resource Centre (MHERC) and Careerforce. We encourage and support our staff in seeking further education/training.
